AFC North Headline Of The Day...

The good people of Buffalo, NY need to get out more.

"Wows?"

Please.

If TO came to my hood, I'd be all like, "Yo son, you betta check yo bullshit at tha do' an rekignize!"

[Don't worry, I'm embarrassed for MYSELF right now]

I definitely wouldn't be standing there, mouth agape, like Megan Fox just stepped off the plane.

But I'd be lying to you if I told you I knew that was what happened...because I didn't even bother to read the story. I just saw an opportunity and seized on it.

That's how I do's it, Larry.

Anyways, I guess Marshawn Lynch wasn't doing his job. He wasn't enough of a distraction for the Bills to let TO go unnoticed. Better tender your resignation for that one, Marshawn. Because there's a new Sherrif in town.

The question that's got everyone all aflutter this morning is - Does this make sense for the Bills?

The question I have is - How does this NOT make sense for the Bills?

Look, I hate TO, you hate TO. But that doesn't mean he couldn't help the Bills.

The Bills have been a perrenial AFC East doormat. $6.5 million for one year is not that big of a deal given the potential value TO could bring. I've read that people doubt Trent Edwards. Well, I can't really say anything about Trent Edwards because I don't really know enough about him.

Bottom line - If something wasn't done, the Bills could have (and still might) very well become the NFL's first Canadian franchise.

So at least they're trying, I guess.

But what I really wanna know from TO is - How do the Ravens look now, you douchebag? Thanks for being a prima donna about everything. Having you in the AFC North would've sucked. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, tune yourself in to 2004.

So at this point, there's only one more thing that can be said about this...

I'm curious - since when did it become funny to use Hitler in your jokes?

No, seriously. When did it become funny to use Hitler in your jokes? Because if there was some kind of announcement, I guess I must have missed it.

The amazing part about that video is not that Hitler's the star, though. It's that there's almost four minutes of it.

Overkill? Perhaps, just a bit.

Clearly there is absolutely no proper transition I can make here. So you're just going to have to move on to the links now...

What you have to look forward to at a Pens practice - almost getting a puck to the gourd [PSaMP]

Joey Galloway visiting the Steelers? Sadly, my only question is - Can he pass a physical? [Post-Gazette]

Anthony Smith is now someone else's problem. The Green Bay Packers, in fact [Press-Gazette]

Ed Bouchette. Still hating on the Redskins one week later - "By now, anyone over the age of 25 should know how the Steelers operate...They are as predictable as the Redskins missing the playoffs." I love it [Post-Gazette]

So does The Big Lead [The Big Lead]

In the headline says it all department - "Steelers Won't Overpay for Harrison" [Beaver County Times]

The Steelers sign Conan O'Brien [Mondesi's House]

Looks like LaMarr Woodley will be throwing out the first pitch at the Altoona Curve's home opener [Altoona Mirror]

It's like people have always said - When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you [Coach] good? Whatever, Dan Bylsma dresses for success [Getting Nifty in the Clutch]

If Capitals fans spent as much time cheering on their team as they do talking shit on Sid, maybe I could call them real fans. Seems like we've got a long way to go on that one, though [Puck Daddy]

Too bad all the douchebaggery in the world couldn't stop Sid [ESPN]

Some things just shouldn't be left up to technology [Good Experience]

Facebook. It's not just for stalking anymore [Trib]

And speaking of Facebook being your enemy and not your friend... [HHR]

Apparel of the day on Saturday = a Ron Francis Whalers jersey...

I didn't even know any of these existed anymore.

And finally, I feel like I should say something right now. I like to cast stones around here and everything, but at the end of the day, I'm the one who walks around his apartment at night wearing man-slippers.

What I'm trying to say is - Some bloggers out there like to pretend like they know something you don't.

Other bloggers know that at some point, each one of us will be a hypocrite. Possibly some 8000 points, even.

And then there are bloggers who know that they write a blog.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep things in perspective.

That is all at this time.

Write Your Own Headline...

Top 10 worst moods of all time right now. Not even joking. Only reason I'm posting is because I'm ashamed of that poor excuse for a headline of the day, which I had to force myself to use because there wasn't shit else going on that was of any interest. That and because a couple of interesting dudes got released today; Fred Taylor and Chris McAllister to be exact.

I'm not so intrigued by the Taylor release as I am by the McAllister release. I guess they're just trying to free up some loot to re-sign Terrell Suggs/Ray Lewis/Bart Scott? Who the hell knows? I'm sure there are a number of possibilities, a fact that some of you may want to point out in the comments. Don't bother. I can't even pretend to care about this.

Also, the Bungles have used their franchise tag on Kicker Shayne Graham. That can't say anything good when you're franchising your God damned Kicker. Would a General Manager have ever authorized this?

/whatever

AFC North Headline Of The Day...

I guess this is a sign of the times?

Um, the fact that he's not Andy Reid?

Whatever, man. Don't look at me like that.

Ugh, it may be an ugly couple of months 'til this draft, kids. I'm trying. Really, I am.

These attempts at "headlines" may be weak but these links' pimp hand is strong...

AFC North Headline Of The Day...

Jesus. Why didn't anybody tell me she was from L.A.? It all makes sense now.

And of course now that she's had her 15 minutes, NOW she's done. 14(!) kids later.

Whatever, man.

Listen, lady. In this economic climate? I mean, come on.

You know what, though? Maybe she's got it right. At this point, maybe that's what I should do. Just have a bunch of kids. No job, enough debt to support an entire small African nation, but dammit if I don't got LOVE!

I believe this conversation is over.

Oh, and how do you like this?

So should we just invoice "the crazy bitch with all the kids," then?

That's right, folks. Consider this situation handled! Nothing to see here, you can all go home.

Listen, I'm no economist, but I do think three trillion sounds like an awful lot of money. So, if you could give me my share of the 3 trillion in cash, that'd be great. My concern is, and I have to, uh, check with my accountant, that this might bump me into a higher, uh, tax...bracket.

Sort this shit out, Barack.

The more the government keeps trying to bail that economy out, the more these links keep coming up money...

The poor man's Steely McBeam? [PSaMP]

Poking a little fun at Big Ben's fat face [The Sports Hernia]

Hines Ward is for the kids...the biracial Korean kids, that is [The Epoch Times]

This guy wants Steelers fans to be more respectful of Cardinals fans (see last few paragraphs). Someone should explain to this guy that all message boards are full of disrespect. That's not a function of Steelers fans. That's a function of the internet. Open your eyes, dude [Arizona Republic]

And someone should explain to Comcast that the more you bring this whole porn debacle up, the longer it's going to haunt you. Sometimes, you just have to apologize and let things die their own death [Post-Gazette]

AFC North Headline Of The Day...

Wait, wait, wait. Let me see if I understand this correctly, advertisements during the Super Bowl will feature either sex, alcohol or violence? Get the hell out of here! Since when is there sex, violence or drugs on TV? This must be some type of sick joke.

Sarcasm is palpable...

Honestly, I'd challenge you to find me five minutes of television that doesn't involve either sex, alcohol or violence? For Christ's sake, have you ever watched the nightly news? Come on. In fact, didn't they make a whole program out of it called Beverly Hills 90210 (among others)?

You commissioned a study in order to report this garbage?

With wasted man power like this, this country is never going to dig out of its economic downturn.

Like TV, these links are full of sex, alcohol and violence...well, maybe not but they're way more worth reading than TV is worth watching...

Everyone remember - Sunday at 3PM, everyone gets laid Tec is liveblogging Puppy Bowl V [PSaMP]

I haven't even read this yet, but if Vern is roasting Kurt Warners wife, I doubt I even need to before linking to it [You Lay On The Ice Like A Broad!]

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but Rizzo Sports asks if this is a new Pittsburgh Steelers dynasty. I sure hope so! But I wanna win on Sunday first! [Rizzo Sports]

James Harrison is mad at the world? Really? I don't pick that up at all. I just think he loves football and knows how to play the game, but Baltimore would say that... [Baltimore Sun]

Larry Fitz says he'd redo his contract to give back money to keep Boldin. Smart receiver know that he get more opportunities with solid threat on other side. Larry Fitz is wise [Associated Press]

This is a little more techno than I can handle, but if you wanna see two chicks in body paint, yeah...probably NSFW [In Game Now]

Well, unfortunately I didn't make this list (which is too bad), but check out the 80 blogs to subscribe to and 20 blogs to follow on Twitter. By the way, follow me, here [Hail Mary Jane]

Who knew that Moonshining was still a crime? [WSJ Law Blog]

PS - I just want to go on record as vehemently protesting the use of the nickname "Skippy" for Jeff Reed. That is the pussiest nickname ever and I think we can do better.

Oh yes, and here's another Steelers song and video in case you haven't already had your fill...

At least this one is pretty good, original, features Cope and mentions Hank Poteat. Way to go, dudes. In a sea of suck, you've created something truly original and not just a knock off of another song. Rock 'n roll.

Check out here for more info.
