This Just In: Anthony Smith Still Mentally Challenged!

Honestly?

Hey Anthony Smith, you should probably wait until you crack the starting lineup and your biggest contribution hasn't been special teams penalties to open your mouth. Though, I could be wrong...

At least it gives me an excuse to re-use that photoshop again. Score!

Hat tip, Tecmo!

Bulletin board material is so overrated. It's not like the Patriots were thinking, "eh, we might as well just let them win this one...wait...DID ANTHONY SMITH SAY SOMETHING AGAIN!".

While he very well may be an absolute idiot, I see this mattering less than very little. In fact, I bet Silverback told him to say it.

belichick obviously used anthony smith's comments last year to further motivate the pats. not only did brady pick on smith all day, but had some words to say to anthony after one of the touchdowns.

all i'm saying is why add more fuel to the fire?

You're welcome, Cotter?

It doesn't mean as much this year, cos Smith ain't starting, the Patriots aren't undefeated and he told it to some two-bit paper in Indiana PA.

But its just the thought of Anthony Smith having the balls to even open his damn mouth. Who does this idiot think he is?

domski ~ I'm with you, man. No need to say anything more than "NO COMMENT." That or, "Why don't you go ask someone who's starting?"

vern ~ But to be fair, you would've disagreed with anything said anyhow, so...

tec ~ Thanks again for the tip, man! And I completely agree, it's about him not caring that he said something last year, got thoroughly embarrassed, couldn't even beat out Ryan Clark for a starting job this year and yet he's STILL saying something! He must have elephantitis, because to say something like that...nahmeen?

The sad thing is he's as talented as he is stupid.

Yes Anthony, Pittsburgh is the #1 defense. No thanks to you.

Cotter, I'm always going to disagree with the phrase "bulletin board material". No matter what the context. I think it's one of the dumbest cliches in sport.

They picked on Anthony Smith because he was in terrible position, not because he opened his mouth.

And I don't disagree with either of your observations.

I'm just sayin'...

You can say what you gotta say.

Plus, I was talking to Domski, not you. I agree that Smith is an idiot.

Cotter said...

I was just making a general observation, man. Relax. I know you were talking to Domski.

What he said was far more tempered than last year. He said that if the team executes the way it's capable of, they should win. Which is basically what every football player says when a reporter asks them if they'll win their next game. Hardly guarantee territory.

Cotter said...

Sure, but he probably didn't need to say anything at all. Could've just laughed it off.

Meh, who cares. Matt Cassel is no Tom Brady, and that's all that matters.
