That is, the ultimate question.
New Years. What a holiday, huh?
I used to work with a guy back in college who had it right. And sadly, this may have been the only thing he had right, but that's neither here nor there. He used to refer to New Years as "Amateur Night." You know, because millions of people who normally don't drink massive quantities of alcohol go out and intentionally do just that, often with dubious results.
I mean, I'm not trying to be a hermit. I wouldn't mind going out and getting sloshed. Especially because I've had to forgo many opportunities to do so over the past few months due to that bullshit law school thing. But as of this moment, I have no plans.
Would I mind sitting around, drinking a bottle or two of Chimay, hanging out with my dog, playing a little guitar and watching a little TV while everyone else is out making bad decisions and probably getting laid? Hell no! For as much as I like to go out and socialize (not to mention get laid), I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't most comfortable just being a waste of life, posted up on the far left cushion of my couch. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, my normal schedule from September to December and January to May doesn't really allow me to regress into such slothitude. But right now, I'm all about it.
Plus, I've got a really comfortable couch. And that ain't helpin'.
Y'all think I should drag my ass out this year? Or you think I'm cool with a few choice brews and a Man vs. Wild marathon?
Final thought for today - The one cool thing about being fortunate enough to have to work this week (minus tomorrow and Thursday) is that I get my pick of bathroom stalls. I've got my run of the place. Even the handicap stall! Of course, I'm not handicapped. But they've got that "oh shit" handle thing. And to be honest, I eat a lot of salad. Hey Sean, how's that for a TMI Tuesday?

To Bong A Beer or Not To Bong A Beer?

Cotter Needs A Haircut, Bad...
Alright, so yesterday's game didn't go so well. Fine. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that I need a haircut. But I'm tired of the same style I've got now (you know, the fauxhawk...don't even say it Domski, jagoff). So I'm looking for ideas from you all.
Here are some styles I've considered. Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments. And hey, I'd photoshop these do's on my head, but that just sounds like too much work. After all, it's Monday. And we lost yesterday. Come on, now.
Here we go...
Vanilla Ice Circa 1991
Lest ye forget, this includes the partially shaven eyebrow.
The Emo Cut
I'd have to start wearing black eye makeup and crying a lot. But that's totally doable.
The Full-On Mohawk (ala Travis Barker)
I've been going this way for a while now, it's just a matter of pulling the trigger. But I'm a pussy. So the chances of that happening are slim to none. It would be worth the looks on my law school comrades faces, though (bad enough already that I wear jeans and a t-shirt to class when everyone else is in suits).
The Bruce Willis Bic'd Goodness
This one has no shot in hell. I just threw it in to be "funny." I have all my hair, and in fact, more of it than any one man will ever need. So I'd like to keep it that way.
The Walter Sobchak Special - Military Crew Cut
Negative, Captain. High and tight ain't fitting of Cotter's off-color personality.
So in case it wasn't obvious, I'm in need of some direction.
Suggestions?
