Yes, the rumors are true. The new-look Steelers coaching staff is now final.
We've got six holdovers from the Cowher era including both Dick LeBeau and Bruce Arians, plus six new guys including Ken Anderson (QB Coach), offensive line coach Larry Zierlein (formerly of the Buffalo Bills), wide receivers coach Randy Fichtner (from University of Memphis), special teams coach Bob Ligashesky (from the Rams), special teams assistant Amos Jones, and running backs coach Kirby Wilson.
Note: Wilson, a former Arizona Cardinals coach, will have the BIGGEST shoes to fill, as he'll be replacing recent retiree Dick Hoak, a Steeler veteran dating back to the Nixon administration.
It's good to know Tomlin is being smart and making Steeler-esque moves though. By that I mean hiring guys from the area - Ligashesky is from McKees Rocks, and Fitchner is from West Mifflin. It's always worked out well in the past, so no reason to think otherwise now.
Alright, good talk, see you out there...
