Starting Lineups were my bitch back in the day. I was always pissed that my Doc Gooden one broke off the base
take it out of the package and play with it. Set up some cups and pretend that is the defense line and have bettis plow through it for a 3 yard gain!!
My cousins wouldn;t take theirs outta the boxes. Had 'em just up on shelfs, because they were gonna be "worth money."
I have two still in packages, but I got them at a point in my life where I was going away from such things, so I just packed them away. One is Fred McGriff, the other I have no idea.
One Christmas all I got were starting lineup's.
Best Christmas. Ever.
I had the same thing
Clemens
Gooden
Bonds (Pirates)
Rodney Hampton
Some dude from the Bulls
I had Brister, but lost him
some other random baseball player
And Cotter, did you get that as a gift, or is it just a pic you found?
Oh, I got it as a gift. From two of my co-workers. And it's not even my birthday yet.
I think the funniest thing about it, though, is if you look closely, the Bus looks super skinny. It's like the Walter treatment, but in reverse.
Totally unexpected way to start my morning - Round corner, 15 ft from desk, spot Bus action figure with note attached reading...
"Chris,
Ah, the 11-year 'regifting.'
- Buy at Toys 'R Us
- Give to son to put on shelf and forget
- Put in attic
- Check price on eBay (not "rare")
- Give to you
We thought you should have it for all the obvious reasons...
- [Names redacted]"
[Names redacted] are my new favorite people.
i have a kordell stewart starting line up action figure, and he is in punt formation
