Training camp starts Sunday.
That's just six days away.
Every 2008 Steelers draft pick is under contract, except the first and second rounders, Rashard Mendenhall and Limas Sweed respectively.
Last year, every Steelers draft pick was signed by July 22.
Expectations are high for both of these guys.
Will the Steelers front office get these deals done on time? Does anyone foresee a holdout situation for either/both of these future play makers? And seriously, what is going on in that image?
[/Guess that's what happens when you ask Cotter to keep it simple]
NOW, as usual, here's a recap of what you missed this weekend while you were busy reading between the headlines...
- James Farrior has the right attitude
- Steelers training camp preview featuring Rod Woodson
- 10 issues going into camp
- Outlook good on Santonio returning punts
- Two Redskins DEs done for the season after one day of training camp
- Redskins starting CB, Fred Smoot, injured as well
- Jason Taylor to Redskins
- Someone managed to improve beer drinking
- These wrestlers needed A chair
- Kegstand FAIL!
- This kid stole my moves

I wouldn't worry about Mendenhall or Sweed. As of yesterday, only 7 of the league's 31 first round picks have been "signed" (four of whom are the first four picks).

For the record, Cotter, I think you fail at understanding fail. Examples:
1. "improve beer drinking" + can of Budweiser in given example = improvement fail.
2. Falling off a one-handed kegstand not equal to Fail. Really, it's the only possible outcome. This is not 'nam, Cotter; there are rules. Specifically, gravity.
Check byline and repost comment...this is not a Cotter produced story.
Bah. I guess this would be what could elegantly be referred to as a criticism fail. Time to skulk away in shame for the day...
It's OK man, it's Monday...
Jeez, longest tag ever.
Tag Longer than Post = Fail.
No Mention of Dark Knight=Fail
Monday=Fail
They'll both get signed soon, NFL never has a problem with signing early picks like baseball does.
I love capital letters it seems. Today was hella boring
