And Sometimes, Enough is Enough...

I probably shouldn't even pay any mind to this, but I just can't help but think this ought to be the last straw for Bengals WR Chris Henry.

For those of you who don't follow the trials and tribulations of our AFC North rivals quite as closely as I do (sadly) - Henry has a warrant out for his arrest on charges that he assaulted an 18 year old this past Monday - and by assaulted, they mean punching the dude in the face and breaking the window of the his car with a beer bottle. By the way, Chris Henry is 24 (going on 25 in May), and I think this marks about the 15th time he's run afoul of the law during his brief three year tenure in the NFL (which of course includes his half season suspension last year).

Now, by no means am I a paragon of discretion and good decision making, but dude, I mean, we're talking about messing with millions of dollars here. Every time Chris Henry gets in trouble, he's one step closer to the prospect of losing his well paying position as #3 in the Bengals passing game and ending up pumping gas in Kentucky. Come on man, you've been warned and yet you continue to go out and do dumb shit? Get the hell out of here. Kick him out of the league. I'll take his spot. Championship!

Any thoughts? Anyone out there this week?

[UPDATE: After this latest indiscretion, the Bengals have finally had enough of Chris Henry. He's consequently been cut. But don't worry, he'll probably sign in Dallas within the next two weeks. That or Oakland.]

Chris Henry should be out of the league due to his problems with the law. If I remember correctly one of the things he was arrested for was having having a party with nothing but high school age girls last year. What a dumb ass, you're a NFL receiver (why does that seem like it should be an NFL receiver?) you could be getting ass from legal girls easily. His arrest history is borderline funny if it wasn't so sad. You are 6' 4" and fast with decent hands how do you mess that up.

Hey Cotter, did you buy your 2004 Steelers playbook off ebay yet? Only $10.00 I'm sure that 54 of them went to the Pats and their coach

You know I have heard that I'd look fierce in Orange...but I'm still skeptical.

As for my Steelers playbook...I've indeed secured copies for both myself and Domski so that we may sharpen our Madden skills and dominate this great nation via the power of the internets.

Actually in all seriousness, that might make a good giveaway prize...hmmm....

Note:

ESPN's NFL Live just announced that Silverback has been cleared of ALL CHARGES!

The Allegheny County prosecuters dropped all charges.

I love to say:

" I told ya so! "

Ha.

Luv-

PS- Just because some woman "claims" to have been "attacked" don't make it true. Especially when it involves multi-milionaire star athlets. Gold-diggers just love "domestic violence" leverage. I don't, of course, condone violence of any kind. Just hate seeing people jump on that bandwagon.

To be fair though dude, I'm pretty sure the charges were dropped because he completed anger management courses and the woman chose not to press charges.

Or he snarled and said "Bitch drop the charges" and she shat her pants, then proceeded to drop the charges

Cotter said...

Oh there definitely had to have been defecation involved.

Chris Henry and Pacman Jones should form a wrestling tag team, and bring the N.W.O back to its rightful prominence!
