From Adam Schein's column, "Sorry Eli, Tiki Was Right", pertaining to the whole Tiki Barber-Eli Manning war of words:
"For the record, the Steelers were so distracted by the Jerome Bettis retirement talk in 2005 they won the Super Bowl."PS - for the record, I have been saying how poor of a leader Eli Manning is for the duration of his "career"...and feel the same way about Peyton Manning. This is not to say they are not good football players, though I don't really think Eli is all that great, but rather that as people, they just are not leaders. Something you ought to look for from a QB.
-Talking about how Tiki's foreshadowed retirement affected the Giants last season
Anyways, thought I'd share.
