Headline of the Day...

I was going to write about the Steelers extending Hines' contract here, but then it was 4:30, I was tired as hell, in need of a quick snooze, and facing a night chock full of reading and outlining for Sports Law. So instead, what you see here is all you'll get from me today.

For what it's worth, I'm really proud of the Steelers making this move. I wasn't sure what to expect and to be honest, I kind of feared the worst. But they surprised me to the tune of four years and $22 million. I guess this is the kind of thing you get when you're a Super Bowl MVP, the team's all-time reception leader, and one of the team's most outspoken spiritual leaders.

Good work, Rooneys. I love this move. And congratulations Hines. By the way, if you'd like to contribute to the "I don't get paid to blog yet I do it day in and day out for God knows what reason" fund, I'm always accepting donations.

I love Hines is staying, but do you guys really think he will play 4 more years?

Grumpy, I think that all depends on Hines not having major injuries. But that's a given.

I'm sure he has the drive to play for four more years. Although after that he's gotta be done!

I think if anyone can, it's Hines Ward! But like doug said, it all depends on how his health holds up. Either way, I hope he does!

By the way, doesn't Hines look fired up in that picture?

Honestly, they couldn't find a better pic of him? I'm sure there are enough...because we all know how much Hines Ward hates people taking his picture...
