AFC North Headline Of The Day...

So Peezy is playing the role of valiant hero, defending poor Plaxico in the face of this whole gun thing. I even saw an interview where he said Plax is like a brother to him. Isn't that sweet? I guess a solid four years on a football team with someone WOULD probably make you feel that way.

Anyways, I guess Joey's point is that it's hard out there for a pimp players in the NFL, today. And that they need to protect themselves...apparently by personally carrying firearms and not through some type of hired security, in whose hands they would likely be 50-100 times more protected. Seems like a sound enough argument...

But putting aside the fact that this is probably nothing more than an attempt to get his face on TV and his name in the headlines, there seems to be two important things Joey has either forgotten or is ignoring.

#1 - As MJD pointed out, there are laws against carrying a gun into a club.

But even more importantly, and perhaps even the same (because I'm really not positive exactly which law MJD was referring to)...

#2 - There's also a law that says you need a license to go around carrying a handgun you've stuck in the waistband of your sweatpants, ANYWHERE, which ol' Plexiglass did NOT have (he had an expired Florida license, but no NY license).

Other than that, flap those jaws as much as you want, Joey.

And by the way, have I told you lately that I love you?

Good news is, these links are carrying...WITH a license...

Snoop Dogg's Steelers have won back to back Snoop League titles...something for Mike Tomlin to aspire to, I guess [PSaMP]

Najeh signed by the Colts [Deuce of Davenport]

The obligatory interview in advance of a Steelers-Ravens game in which Hines Ward proclaims once again that he's not worried about "bounties." At what point do you just stop asking him, is what I wanna know? [PFT]

Speaking of obligatory storylines in advance of a Steelers-Ravens game, Baltimore writers are still querying Ravens fans as the degree of treason achieved by selling their tickets to Steelers fans. Pardon my french, but who gives a shit? [Baltimore Sun]

Mitch Berger will keep his job. I'm not sure if this was even a question, but at this point, I'm pretty much assuming he'll have the job for the rest of this season...sad as that may be [Post-Gazette]

What about harboring an amphibious rodent?

That depends.

Is it for domestic purposes, within the city limits?

I didn't even know Davenport left again. Man, they need to stop doing this. I guess it don't matter now.

Good for Najeh that he's still getting checks. That had to suck for him this season.
